From the beginning when he was holding his head high up off my shoulder just two hours after he was born, we knew that Caleb was an advanced child. This has all been confirmed this week. At the ripe old age of 6 weeks and 3 days, Caleb started rolling. I didn't want to post immediately because I thought it might be a fluke, but he has successfully rolled to the right from his stomach to his back several times every day for the last three days.

Now this is a trick that we have been working on during tummy time for the past three weeks but I never expected him to pick it up so quickly. We got smart this evening and realized that we could use the video setting on our camera to capture the moment. However, we only got one of his "practice runs" videoed showing how he's learned his technique using a rolled blanket under his chest. This does happen to be the first time that he rolled to his left side, though. Of course, as soon as we took this video, I removed the blanket and he rolled on his own without any assistance. We were too slow to capture this and after that time he was tired from all the times we had him roll and he decided he was done. Its a pity too, because right when he finished he laughed as he was so proud of himself. Still, we thought the "practice run" was exciting so we wanted to share with the masses.
